Since 2007, Black Bear Diner has been working with Kidzsmart to create a solid program revolving around the Bear family (Granny Bear, Papa Bear, and cub siblings Biscuit and Brandi). In 2009, Kidzsmart initiated a new design and format to align Black Bear Diner’s kids’ program even more closely with their branding. The result was The Beary Tale Times, a quarterly newspaper format that features a themed story, fun games, messaging about health and nutrition, and their kids’ menu.
Throughout the relationship with Kidzsmart, Black Bear Diner has consistently received positive feedback for The Beary Tale Times and in 2016, the program earned the PTPA™ Seal of approval. Says one PTPA participant: “The kids (both of my older sons ages 4 and 9) really enjoyed and had fun with their activity. They even brought them home and continued to use them!”
