Meet Our Director of Strategic Accounts

Meet our Director of Strategic Accounts, Jasmine Kafka

How long have you worked with Kidzsmart for?

Closing in on a decade!

What is your role?

As an Account Director, I have the pleasure of working with impactful organizations and initiatives that make a difference in our communities. Our clients come to us to help solve a problem, and its my job to ensure we listen and ultimately make their lives easier. By working with the team internally, we develop strategic programs that communicate our clients’ values. This includes everything from creative brainstorms, market research, developing content and every sort of production logistics you can imagine. I get a front row seat on all the projects we work on – it’s pretty cool.

Why did you join the company?

I’m a people person – and Kidzsmart holds a unique place within the community. We get to work with many different industries, and I knew the work would always challenge me and promote growth. It’s a niche business opportunity too, and I think our clients are brilliant for recognizing the importance of engaging with kids and families. If you show that you value the kids by offering meaningful, educational content, families will want to connect with your company even more.

What do you like about working at Kidzsmart?

I adore being in a role that allows me to work with so many people and departments. We have great clients who are really making a difference in the world, and working with them to help achieve their goals motivates me. I also feel lucky to work alongside intelligent and passionate people who are constantly learning, growing, and adapting to marketplace changes. Plus, we’re a small company so the leadership team has always supported my involvement in many aspects of the business. While my focus is account management, I’ve always played a role in marketing, business development, recruitment, and workplace culture.

What are you looking forward to at the moment?

We’re in a transformational shift right now – and I’m loving every minute of it. Brands and customers are savvier, and really owning diversity, mental health & awareness. Kidzsmart is helping facilitate this movement and the work is something I’m proud of.

What are the values that drive you?

I love watching those around me succeed – and being able to help in their journey gives me all the feels. I strive to bring optimistic energy (and perspectives) and empower my clients and teammates. Success to me as an Account Director, is creating a culture of growth while offering impactful solutions. Kidzsmart is in an influential position to create positive messaging amongst growing minds, and I’m here for it!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

I have two toddlers at home, and I love watching the humans they’re becoming! Family is everything to me and seeing my girls experience life pushes me to do better and be better. When I’m not chasing after them or cleaning their magnitudes of messes I defer to good conversation, a warm beach and wine. Oh, and a good workout sweat to help me conquer the day.

What is your favorite quote or best piece of advice you’ve been given?

“Will this matter in two weeks?”. It’s something my Oma used to say, and a mantra that I often use myself. Life is equally beautiful and complicated, and if I focused my energy and dwelled on every single bump and hiccup, I would be doing a disservice to everyone, especially myself.
